Rio Turkey Hunts in Kansas
I recently went on a great hunt with 10 Gauge. I showed up for my turkey hunt and experienced the awesome hospitality that I have always received when dealing with Tim. I came in the night before my hunt and we got up at 5:00 the following morning and had hit the road at 5:30. We set up right in front of the roost and it sounded like they were right on top of us. As the Kansas turkeys started leaving the roost the were calling out and for almost every gobble that I heard it was answered by a pheasant cackle from the field behind me. As the birds all hit the ground it was clear there were about 30-40 birds around us. I had my pick of toms as Tim called these birds closer. I shot a nice Tom with a 9 inch beard at about 20 yards. On the walk and the drive out I could see many pheasant roosters running across the road. Back at the house Tim cleaned and packaged my bird. It was a great hunt!
